The Tennessee Valley Authority’s new Regional Energy Resource Council will be meeting in Knoxville on Jan. 22-23 to learn more about TVA’s energy resources decision-making process.
This will be the second meeting of the 19-member panel, which was appointed last September by TVA President and CEO Bill Johnson. The panel will continue its orientation into the workings of TVA, the nation’s largest public utility. The sessions will be held in TVA’s West Tower Auditorium and are open to the public.
On Wednesday, Jan. 22, the panel is scheduled to receive briefings about how TVAs balances its business decisions with its Integrated Resource Plan, a long-range guide to energy planning that is now being updated; the cost of electricity; power system reliability, and environmental stewardship.
