PJM works out wholesale deal for 6-MW New Jersey solar project

PJM Interconnection on Jan. 7 submitted for filing at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement (WMPA) for a 6-MW solar project in New Jersey.

The WMPA was entered into among PJM, Cinnaminson Solar LLC and Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G). The agreement was executed on Dec. 12, 2013. PJM is submitting this agreement for filing because Cinnaminson Solar intends to engage in wholesale sales in the PJM markets from a generating facility connected to the PSE&G distribution facilities.

This is the Camden (Cinnaminson Solar) project, to be located at 1017 Union Landing Rd. , Cinnaminson, N.J. The site has six inverters rated at 1 MW each with a dedicated transformer for each inverter. Each transformer will have feed-through lugs to connect all of the transformers together to provide one interconnection point via a recloser to an adjacent overhead distribution line.

Under the WMPA, on or before May 28, 2015, Cinnaminson Solar must demonstrate commercial operation of its generating units.

The project developer contact is: Michael Martin, President, Cinnaminson Solar LLC, 1805 29th St.,
 Suite 2054,
 Boulder, CO 80301.
