PJM works out wholesale deal for 10-MW solar project in N.J.

PJM Interconnection on Dec. 23 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement (WMPA) for a 10-MW solar project in New Jersey.

The WMPA was entered into among PJM, Beckett Solar Energy LLC, and Atlantic City Electric. PJM is submitting this Agreement for filing because Beckett Solar intends to engage in wholesale sales in the PJM markets from a generating facility connected to the Atlantic City Electric distribution facilities.

This is called the Beckett Project and is located at 2200 Oldmans Creek Road, Woolwich Township, Gloucester County, N.J. This is a ground-mounted, inverter-based, solar photovoltaic facility consisting of solar arrays and a 480/12kV collector system.

On or before Oct. 1, 2015, Beckett Solar must demonstrate commercial operation of all generating units.
