OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Powerful storms that spawned at least two tornadoes in northeast Nebraska also damaged power line structures in the area, although most people in the region did not lose electricity.
Spokesman Mark Becker said Saturday that no outages have been reported by customers of Nebraska Public Power District, the state’s largest electric power supplier. However, two NPPD transmission lines and some 20 wooden power structures were damaged in the storms.
