The Southwest Power Pool (SPP) submitted on Oct. 8 to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an executed Generator Interconnection Agreement (GIA) for a 200-MW wind project.
The agreement is among the SPP, Rattlesnake Creek Wind Project LLC and the Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) as transmission owner. This new GIA modifies and supersedes the GIA between the parties that the commission accepted on March 5.
Rattlesnake plans to construct a 200-MW wind facility, which will consist of 125 General Electric 1.6-MW wind turbines. Since the March FERC approval, the parties agreed to revise the deal to reflect a new milestone completion date and to reflect an additional market registration milestone. The new commercial operation deadline is Dec. 1, 2014, with trial operation to begin a month before that.
The point of transmission interconnection is the 230-kV bus of the proposed NPPD Dixon County 230-kV substation addition on the Twin Church-Hoskins 230-kV line.
