Southern Calif. Edison files agreements for 20-MW solar project

Southern California Edison on Oct. 31 filed agreements at the Federal Regulatory Commission with NRG Solar Blythe II LLC for a 20-MW solar photovoltaic facility planned for Blythe, Calif.

Filed with FERC were interconnection and service agreements for this project, which would hook into the utility’s McCoy 33 KV transmission circuit. The developer of this project, to be called the Blythe Green 1 facility, has asked for a commercial operation date of July 15, 2015.

The facility would consists of: photovoltaic panels; forty 500 kW Satcon Power Gate Plus inverters, forty 500 kVA 208V/34.5kV transformer and the associated infrastructure and step-up transformers; meters and metering equipment; and appurtenant equipment.
