EPA sets Kansas meeting on GHG rules for current fleet

Following through on President Obama’s Climate Action Plan, U.S. EPA Region 7 will hold one of 11 national public listening sessions from 4-8 p.m. on Nov. 4, 2013, to solicit ideas and input from the public and stakeholders about the best Clean Air Act approaches to reducing carbon pollution from existing power plants.

The location is U.S. EPA Region 7, 11201 Renner Blvd., Lenexa, Kan. 66219.

The listening session will begin with brief introductory remarks by EPA, followed by public input about reducing carbon pollution from existing power plants. Participants are invited to stay for as much of the session as you can. Advance registration is encouraged due to large anticipated attendance. Persons unable to attend the listening session may submit comments and input to EPA through the Agency’s Contact Us page, or at carbonpollutioninput@epa.gov until Nov. 8, 2013.
