PJM Interconnection on Sept. 9 filed an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement (WMPA) entered into among PJM, Beaver Run Solar Farm LLC and Jersey Central Power & Light, a FirstEnergy (NYSE: FE) company.
PJM submitted this agreement to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission because Beaver Run Solar intends to engage in wholesale sales in the PJM markets from a generating facility connected to the JCPL distribution facilities. The Beaver Run Solar WMPA amends Original Service Agreement No. 3452 to add Capacity Interconnection Rights (CIRs) for this facility.
The agreement covers the 9.9-MW Beaver Run Solar Farm, located at 283 Beaver Run Road, Lafayette, N.J. It would be a ground-mounted, inverter-based, solar photovoltaic facility consisting of solar arrays and a 34 kV collector system.
On or before Sept. 30, 2015, the developer under the WMPA must demonstrate commercial operation of all generating units at this facility.
The contact information for the developer is Beaver Run Solar Farm LLC, 10 Wagaraw Road, Hawthorne, N.J. 07507, Attn: Charles Shotmeyer.
