Southern California Edison revises deal with uprated landfill gas project

Southern California Edison on Aug. 15 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an amended Tie-Line Facilities Agreement with Brea Power II LLC for what it now a 32-MW landfill gas-fired project.

When the original agreement was filed with FERC in 2010, this was a 27-MW project, with a more recent uprate to 32 MW. The facility would be located at the Orange County Olinda/Alpha Landfill in Brea, Calif. It would include four landfill gas-fired combustion turbine-generator sets, and a steam turbine-generator. The point of interconnect is SCE’s 66-kV substation located on Valencia Avenue in Brea.
