
PJM Interconnection on Aug. 30 submitted for filing at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an executed interconnection service agreement (ISA) for a 70-MW wind project in Maryland.
The ISA is among PJM, Dans Mountain Wind Force LLC and Potomac Edison, a FirstEnergy (NYSE: FE) company. PJM requests an effective date of July 31, 2013, for the Dans Mountain ISA.
The ISA facilitates the interconnection to the PJM transmission system of a 70-MW facility located in Frostburg, Md. It would be located 2.8 miles east of Carlos Junction substation in Allegany County. The facility would be made up of 29 2.4-MW wind turbine-generators. On or before Dec. 31, 2014, the wind project developer under the terms of the ISA must demonstrate commercial operation of all generating units.
