A recognized expert in combined heat and power (CHP) technologies, Hughes has worked in the power generation field for 30+ years, spending the last 15 years at Solar Turbines Inc., where he held senior positions in both controls engineering and marketing. While at Solar Turbines, Hughes developed the control systems for the Mercury 50 and Titan gas turbines, and supported the initial field deployment of both engines. He has overseen the implementation of many turbine, CHP, and utility-scale projects around the world.
As Director of Power Generation, Hughes will apply his engineering expertise and network of industry connections to help PTG’s water treatment and CHP technology build on the foothold that it has already established in the market, while also managing relationships with an expanding set of component suppliers.
