NRC to hold meeting with Entergy Operations at its Region IV offices

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission will meet with officials from Entergy Operations, Inc. to discuss the Arkansas Nuclear One nuclear plant located in Russellville, Ark.

The meeting will be held on Dec. 6 from 8-10 a.m. in NRC’s Region IV offices at 1600 E. Lamar in Arlington, Texas. The public is invited to attend this meeting and will have an opportunity to ask questions following the discussion between the NRC and Entergy Operations officials.

NRC staff and Entergy officials are meeting to discuss Entergy’s actions to address human performance issues that were first identified in the NRC’s 2011 annual assessment letter issued on March 5. The issues had not been corrected and therefore were discussed again in the NRC’s mid-cycle letter issued on September 4.

A phone bridge is available to members of the public by calling 1-877-917-5782 and entering passcode 23411. Members of the NRC staff will be available to answer questions from members of the public after the business portion of the meeting.
