Otter Tail Power Co. (NYSE:OTTR) on Oct. 4 said it will hold six open house meetings to discuss its 345-kV Big Stone South to Ellendale transmission line.
The open house meetings will be held from Oct. 15 through Oct. 18.
Otter Tail Power will gather feedback from communities, provide project information, and answer questions, the company said in a statement.
The Big Stone South to Ellendale transmission line is a proposed 150-175 mile transmission line from the proposed Big Stone South substation near Big Stone City, S.D., to the proposed Ellendale 345 kV substation near Ellendale, N.D. Montana-Dakota Utilities and Otter Tail Power will jointly develop, construct and operate the project.
The open house meeting will be held:
- Oct. 15 – Wheaton, Minn.
- Oct. 16 – Milbank, S.D.
- Oct. 16 – Webster, S.D.
- Oct. 17 – Aberdeen, S.D.
- Oct. 17 – Ellendale, N.D.
- Oct. 18 – Britton, S.D.
The project is expected to cost about $326m and to be in service in 2019, according to TransmissionHub data.
