Midland Cogeneration Venture announces management change

MIDLAND, Mich., Oct. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Roger B. Kelley, President and CEO of Midland Cogeneration Venture (MCV), announced today that Brian J. Vokal has been promoted to Vice President of Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering. Brian will be responsible for the continued safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the MCV facility, as well as directing future expansion opportunities.

Since Brian began his employment with MCV in 2000, he has held various positions within MCV’s Engineering Department, including Department Manager since 2010. Brian has been responsible for all of MCV’s engineering activities, including the evaluation and analysis of MCV’s capital projects, and facility enhancements.

Prior to joining MCV, he spent six years in the automotive industry as a Manufacturing Engineer for Detroit Diesel Corporation, and Johnson Controls Automotive Systems Group. Brian received both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan.

MCV is the largest natural gas fired, combined cycle cogeneration plant in the United States capable of producing approximately 1,633 megawatts of electricity and 1,500 kp/hr of steam. MCV has been contracted to Dow and Consumer’s Energy until 2025. MCV is currently owned by EQT Infrastructure and Fortistar.
