The Lincoln (Neb.) Electric System (LES) will hold an open house on Sept. 11 to discuss its 115-kV transmission line rebuild project in Nebraska.
The open house will be held in Martell, Neb.
The company will be upgrading about 12 miles of 115-kV transmission line that runs between SW 33rd Street and Denton Road and the Sheldon Station near Hallam, Neb. The existing line was installed in 1968 and is reaching the end of its useful life.
The upgrade will improve reliability by replacing the more than 40-year-old existing wood H-frame structures with single shaft steel poles.
