At their Sept. 5 meeting, the Jefferson Town Council authorized Mayor Russell Felter to execute an agreement with Public Service Electric & Gas (PSE&G) in regards to the Susquehanna-Roseland transmission line project.
The agreement specified reimbursements to the town from PSE&G for the impact the project will have on the municipality.
Town Administrator James Leach spoke to the council on behalf of Felter who could not be at the meeting. The agreement does not mean the town is a supporter of the project, just that it realizes PSE&G will be moving forward and that work will affect real property in Jefferson.
