Group backs I-90/94 routes

A public meeting in Lyndon Station on Wednesday called to discuss the village’s opposition to the possible routing of a power transmission line through Lyndon Station may have grown into something with a broader area of concern.

More than two dozen people from at least six Juneau County towns and even some from outside the county turned out and agreed to band together to oppose some proposed routes that American Transmission Co. is considering for its Badger Coulee Transmission Line Project.

“They thought it would be a good idea that if we could all get together and have a bigger voice, then it would be heard a little better,” said Lyndon Station Trustee Bill Blank, who emerged from the Wednesday meeting as chairman of the group.
