Delmarva Power outlines new power line project

A cross-county power line owned by Delmarva Power will undergo major structural changes to improve its reliability.

Officials from Delmarva Power said a 50-year-old high voltage line that runs between Glasgow and Mount Pleasant will be replaced during a replacement project that begins this fall at a Tuesday night workshop in Middletown.

The $31 million project will replace wooden poles carrying power lines with steel poles to comply with federal and local reliability standards.
