Village leader against power line

Village of Lyndon Station President David Klicko is opposed to two possible routes for a new power line through certain parts of the village, and he is reaching out to local citizens to help stop that development.

The proposed routes are part of the 150-mile Badger Coulee line proposed by American Transmission Co., which has identified four possible routes that all bisect Juneau County.

They include one route that would follow U.S. 12 and a second that would follow the Canadian Pacific railway tracks. Two other possible routes would follow Interstate 90/94 in whole or in part.

“We’re protesting options one and two,” Klicko said. “We’re working on trying to get a petition in the village or encouraging letters from individuals.”
