American Transmission Co. on March 8 placed in service facilities authorized for construction for the Canal to Dunn Road project ahead of schedule, the company said.
ATC on April 27 filed a progress report with Public Service Commission of Wisconsin on construction activities for its new 138-kV transmission line between the existing Canal substation in the Town of Sturgeon Bay and the Dunn Road substation in the Town of Sevastopol, Door County, Wis.
As of March 31, the total project expenditures were $15.5m of the authorized amount of $24.8m, which included pre-certification expenditures of $1.4m, according to the report.
The facilities authorized for construction were placed in service on March 8, the company said.
Restoration activities along the right-of-way and substation sites continue and are scheduled to be completed in the late spring/early summer 2012 time frame, ATC said.
