FirstEnergy Corp. (NYSE: FE) on April 24 said that it has named Holly Kauffman as vice president of operations for its Jersey Central Power & Light subsidiary, effective May 1.
Kauffman will oversee the operations of JCP&L’s transmission, distribution, dispatching, substation, engineering, forestry, meter reading and support services functions, FirstEnergy said in statement.
Kauffman has been serving as director of extra high voltage projects for FirstEnergy and managed the engineering, construction and project management of transmission projects. Before being named to her current position, she held various management positions with Allegheny Energy, which merged in 2011 with FirstEnergy.
“With her extensive experience in electric utility infrastructure development, Holly is a great addition to our team,” JCP&L President Don Lynch said. “She will bring strong leadership overseeing our continuous improvement efforts to deliver JCP&L customers the quality service they expect and deserve.”
