Residents sound off over power line route

For several generations, Cynthia Nealeigh’s family has farmed and raised cattle on their property in southern Comal County.

But that way of life could change in the next several years, as their land is along one of several routes being considered by the Lower Colorado River Authority for a proposed electrical transmission line that would link its station in Schertz to a new station to be built near New Braunfels.

Nealeigh was vocal about the negative impact such a line would have if the family’s property is selected as an easement for the line.
