PSC will consider underground line in fall

The state Public Service Commission won’t be voting on whether to approve a 333-mile underground electric transmission line from Quebec to New York City until the fall.

The schedule for the $2 billion project, called the Champlain Hudson Power Express, including evidentiary hearings and deadlines for briefs to be filed by interested parties, will go through the end of August under a schedule proposed by PSC staff.
