More people had a chance to speak out Wednesday night against a controversial proposed power line project.
The CapX2020 project would build 150 miles of power lines between Wisconsin and Minnesota.
In Centerville Wednesday, people had two chances to share their opinions on the project that has been in the works since 2007. It was the fourth public meeting in the past two days.
A spokesperson for the project hopes residents can understand the need for the extra power. “Electricity use is going up. We broke records last summer, so for the long run, these lines are needed. It’s going to create economic development, and jobs, and make sure that people always have the electricity they expect,” says project spokesperson Tim Carlsgaard.
