ITC Great Plains line nears transmission

ITC Great Plains LLC’s $37 million electrical transmission project in southeastern Oklahoma should be ready for operation early next month, company officials said Tuesday.

The 18 mile, 345-kilovolt line from Hugo to Valliant is basically completed, ITC Chief Operating Officer Jon Kipping said in a webcast from parent ITC Holdings’ control room in Michigan.

ITC is now coordinating with the utilities which will distribute the power through the line and substation.
