Platte River Power Authority plans to use a helicopter to string conductor cables between new transmission towers along a ridge on the eastern edge of Horsetooth Reservoir.
The work could begin as soon as Monday, weather permitting. The flights will take place between Spring Creek Dam and the Horsetooth Tap substation located in Stout.
To comply with Federal Aviation Administration regulations, vehicle traffic on nearby roads will be stopped when the helicopter carries payloads across roads. The helicopter will not fly directly over homes or businesses while carrying payloads.
