American Transmission Company’s (ATC) new seven-mile electric transmission line that runs through the Woodruff area could be energized and operating by June 1.
That’s according to ATC spokesperson Jackie Olson. Work on the project began this past November and has moving steadily forward since.
“All of the structures [power poles] are in place and workers are already pretty far along in stringing the new lines from pole to pole,” Olson said. “There still needs to be work on the new substation that will be located west of Woodruff and some other work on the substation that already exists in the Clear Lake area.”
